Born in north wales 1978, JD grew up in Manchester as a builder. He also worked as a stage hand in the theatres for more than 10 years and became a drum & bass scratch DJ and personal trainer. He became unhappy with his career choices and decided to head to London and follow an acting career, soon becoming a special action sword and stunt fighter on big films like Snow White and The Huntsman and began to get small acting roles. JD's grandfather, Felix Roth, was part of the magic circle and a dentist to the rich. His great aunt Dorothy Round was Wimbledon champion, doubles champion with Fred Perry and she was entered into the tennis hall of fame in 1985. When JD turned 30 he decided to change his life, preparing it for his acting career. He changed his social circle, his job and the area he lived in. Then he attended private tuition again before selling everything he owned, giving up his job and flat to move to London and follow an acting career in 2011. Whilst sword fighting on 'Snow white and the huntsman' as three different types of evil ravenna guard, JD died five times yet also killed five of the duke's men during the battle scenes at the castle.
